Good Times Harbor by Chuck Pinson

Good Times Harbor by Chuck Pinson

Have you ever had a puzzle that you fell in love with immediately, couldn’t wait to do, and then half to two thirds of the way done, you were just over it and wanted it to end? That was me with this puzzle. I instantly fell in love with the colors and the buildings as soon as I saw the puzzle. Even as I grabbed a couple of other puzzles to do first, my mind kept drifting back to this…

The Camaro Evolution by Chevrolet

The Camaro Evolution by Chevrolet

I miss my Camaro! In early 2001, I made an impulsive purchase of something I had always wanted, but knew my Dad would absolutely not approve of — he hated Chevy cars / trucks with a passion. He was a Ford guy through and through. Regardless, I decided a Camaro was in my future and absolutely fell in love with a very slightly used 1999 Royal Blue Camaro. It only had 8,000 miles on it when I signed the paperwork….

Marvel Superheroes Collage

Marvel Superheroes Collage

I picked up several Aquarius puzzles recently that I thought would be really fun and would look good framed for my kids’ rooms. A few weeks ago I pulled out the first one which I titled Marvel Superheroes Collage as it does not appear to have any other official title on the box. There was a second puzzle which I also bought that’s got the Marvel Super Villians pictured so I had to differentiate them somehow. I will start that…

A Book By Any Other Cover

A Book By Any Other Cover

My love of Stephen King began long before I became Penny Weiss. I was a young teenager when I picked up my first novel of his called Firestarter. While I enjoyed it, I wasn’t blown away by this author just yet. Next I read Carrie, and liked it quite a bit too. But it wasn’t until I watched the IT miniseries on TV in the late 80s that I truly began to see Stephen King for the genius that he…

Completed: Luke Skywalker

Completed: Luke Skywalker

This harder than it looks puzzle is finally finished. And after a thankfully short-lived freak out moment over a missing piece, I can put a checkmark on this one and get it glued for Derek’s room. The quality was superb, and I think this one is going to look awesome mounted on his wall. This also means one more thing — Around the World here I come! Woo hoo!!

IN PROGRESS: Star Wars Fine Art Collection — Luke Skywalker

IN PROGRESS: Star Wars Fine Art Collection — Luke Skywalker

This 1,000-pc. Buffalo Games puzzle puts up a good fight. It has been way more challenging than I thought it would be initially. The quality of the image and the fit has been top notch, and other than the small, 300 piece Wysockis’ I have done recently, it has been the best Buffalo puzzle I have done. Certainly wayyyy better than the piece quality of the 2000 piece Winterland Fun puzzle I did earlier this year by Aimee Stewart. I…

Snarky Collage Puzzle

Snarky Collage Puzzle

This snarky collage puzzle of Suzy Toronto artwork makes me smile. I loved doing it, and when I first purchased it at Goodwill, it reminded me of my puzzling friend and fellow blogger, Stacey. She not only loves collages, but is also wild over being able to spell lots of words in her puzzles. So, when I finished this one, I immediately shipped it over to her. It turned out to be an incredibly sentimental one for her so I…

My Momma Loves Me

My Momma Loves Me

Yesterday I received these two puzzles in the mail from my mom’s favorite online store to buy puzzles — Herschnner’s. These two cute and very country images immediately brought to mind my childhood home in northeastern California. We lived in the country on a 40-acre ranch, and our three-bedroom house had many wall decorations featuring birds, flowers, and other country landscapes. These would have fit perfectly with the decor in the house. Mind you, this was in the early 1980s,…

1,000 pc. – Bizarre Bookshop I – Ravensburger

I was starting to get frustrated that I wasn’t getting much time to spend on the Life puzzle because it’s difficult to tuck myself away in the puzzle room while Randy is upstairs in the family room watching TV.  I want to work on the puzzle, but I also want and need to spend time with him too.  So, I decided that since I can no longer work on this section upstairs in the family room easily, I would try…

A Birthday Puzzle

A Birthday Puzzle

My sister Debbie sent me a puzzle for my birthday this year.  It was very sweet of her – I called and thanked her of course, and told her that any time she wants to send me a puzzle, it’s A-okay with me!  LOL I can’t honestly say that it’s one of my favorite scenes, but it should be fun to do anyway.  I will do the puzzle, and then probably sell it as I don’t really have any desire…
